Dutch loudspeaker manufacturer Kharma launches the Elegance dB7, a high-end loudspeaker that combines an elegant design with optimised functionality. The Elegance dB7 is the first speaker in an innovative line that will replace the internationally acclaimed Ceramique series. By developing their own carbon speaker-unit called KCD (Kharma Composite Driver), Kharma has yet again taken another substantial step forward in the realistic reproduction of music.

Even though the shape of the loudspeaker cabinets has been designed for the best possible radiation of sound, a lot of care has been taken to make the loudspeakers look as beautiful as possible. The standard version of the Kharma Elegance dB7 comes in a luxurious aubergine high-gloss lacquer, with subtle details of chrome-plated and black metal. It goes without saying that colour and finish can be adjusted to every individual lifestyle wish the buyer may have. Therefore, the Elegance dB7 will fit seamlessly into classic and modern furnishing styles.

Kharma has been in the forefront of sophisticated loudspeaker-technology since they launched their Ceramique Series in 1998. The in-house development of the Kharma Composite Driver took over two years. The use of carbon was inspired by space-travel and Formula-1 racing, where materials have to be as light as possible, yet very strong. The implementation of this material in a loudspeaker has resulted in previously unheard of dynamics, speed and control.

There are two new 7-inch KCD drivers in the Elegance dB7 - it?s name being an abbreviation for Double Bass 7-inch. A pure Beryllium tweeter takes care of the extremely detailed yet silky smooth reproduction of high frequencies. The new Spike Disk Suspension System stand (SDSS-stand) was specifically designed for the Elegance series. It will absorb resonances and works as a mechanical grounding system by offering height-adjustable cones.

The Kharma Elegance dB7 is immediately available, the price of the standard version is €20.000 per pair.
